The University of Suffolk has launched a significant digital transformation, appointing TechnologyOne to replace its core student administration systems and modernise the entire student experience.
As part of the long-term partnership, the University will implement TechnologyOne’s OneEducation solution, a fully integrated platform that brings together student, academic, and finance operations. At the heart of this transformation is a focus on core academic operations, with Student Management, Curriculum Management, and Timetabling & Scheduling forming the foundation of a more connected and efficient digital ecosystem.
This university-wide transformation program is designed to enhance teaching quality, streamline administration, and improve outcomes for students. It also represents a significant milestone in Suffolk’s vision to deliver outstanding teaching and student success.
TechnologyOne’s Software-as-a-Service platform will enable the University to digitise and streamline every stage of the student journey - from admissions and enrolment to curriculum delivery, assessment, and graduation. The single platform will deliver real-time insights, faster and smarter services for students, and offer scalability to support the University’s future.
Professor Jenny Higham, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Suffolk, said “As we prepare to celebrate our 10th anniversary, we are excited to enhance our digital support for our staff and students. By working with TechnologyOne we are creating a strong foundation for long term growth through student-centred systems from admissions to graduation.”
Anna Sheldrake, Chief Digital & Technology Officer at the University of Suffolk, said “We were looking for a strategic partner, not just a supplier. TechnologyOne brings a deep understanding of UK higher education, a proven delivery record, and a commitment to continuous technology development, working in partnership with us to deliver business value. Their SaaS platform allows us to streamline processes, improve data quality and provides a key foundational element in delivering a seamless digital experience for staff and students.”
Stuart MacDonald, Chief Operating Officer at TechnologyOne, said “The University of Suffolk is a modern, ambitious and values driven institution that makes a significant impact in its region and beyond. We’re proud to support their next chapter with a unified digital platform built specifically for Universities. Our role is to remove complexity, unlock insights and deliver outstanding outcomes for every student.”
TechnologyOne now partners with more than two-thirds of the UK’s higher education sector, delivering secure, intuitive SaaS solutions built specifically for tertiary institutions.
