The University of Winchester has selected TechnologyOne, a global enterprise SaaS company, to deliver its OneEducation solution as part of a major programme to modernise student and academic operations.
The partnership marks TechnologyOne's eighth student management customer in the UK over the past three years, reinforcing the company's rapid momentum in the Higher Education sector as universities increasingly move away from fragmented legacy systems in favour of modern, connected SaaS platforms.
Building on an established relationship through TechnologyOne's Timetabling & Scheduling solution, the University of Winchester has expanded its partnership by selecting OneEducation to create a single, integrated platform for student management, curriculum management, timetabling, and finance, delivering a connected digital ecosystem across the University.
TechnologyOne's fully integrated SaaS+ platform provides universities with a future-ready foundation that removes the cost, complexity and risk associated with maintaining legacy technology. Through continuous delivery, institutions benefit from ongoing innovation without disruptive upgrades or large-scale replacement projects.
TechnologyOne reinvests approximately 25 per cent of annual revenue into research and development, enabling continuous innovation across its Higher Education portfolio. This investment has expanded mission-critical capabilities such as Curriculum Management and Timetabling & Scheduling while delivering new AI-powered products, including TechnologyOne Plus and TechnologyOne Guide.
Stuart MacDonald, Chief Operating Officer at TechnologyOne said, "Welcoming the University of Winchester as our eighth UK student management customer in just three years is a significant milestone. It reflects the growing confidence UK universities have in TechnologyOne as the leading student management SaaS provider for Higher Education.
"Universities are looking for a strategic partner with the scale, innovation and sector expertise to support them for decades to come. That's why they're choosing TechnologyOne.
"Our fully integrated SaaS+ platform, combined with our continued investment in Higher Education and AI innovation, gives universities a modern, future-ready foundation that continuously evolves with their needs. We're proud to be setting the benchmark for student management in the UK, and we look forward to partnering with the University of Winchester as it transforms the experience for students and staff,” said Mr MacDonald.
With OneEducation at the centre of its digital ecosystem, Winchester will benefit from connected workflows, trusted institutional data and a single view of operations, enabling better decision making and reducing the complexity of managing multiple systems.
Gavin Hunter, Chief Operating Officer at The University of Winchester, said, “This marks an exciting step in our digital journey. Having already experienced the benefits of working with TechnologyOne on timetabling and scheduling, we are delighted to expand our partnership with the implementation of OneEducation.
“Our new connected platform will improve the Winchester experience for students and staff alike and will provide the flexibility and agility to support our future ambitions.”
The programme will be delivered through a collaborative partnership between the University of Winchester and TechnologyOne, combining sector expertise with TechnologyOne's proven implementation methodology. By adopting best practice processes rather than replicating legacy ways of working, the University will establish a future-ready SaaS foundation that can evolve with changing regulatory requirements and institutional priorities.
